The School Safety Patrol program is a very important part of our school. The students that patrol are trained by a representative from AMA. Important aspects of the program include:
*Morning Shift is from 8:20 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
*Afternoon Shift is from 3:05 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
*Vests, signs and rain ponchos are provided by the school
*Shifts are based on cohort student availability per month
*This is a year-long commitment in all weather conditions, excluding pouring rain and inclement temperatures.
*There may be some sort of celebration at the end of the year to thank the patrollers for their dedication and time, pending Alberta Health Services guidelines and Elk Island Public School protocols to ensure the safety of all.
